Tesla's in-car cameras raise privacy concerns.
There's no question that the cabin camera is integrated into your Tesla for a good reason. Its main goal is to allow the system to capture critical data in exceptional circumstances. The internal camera captures elements such as head position, your eyes' direction, whether you are wearing glasses or sunglasses, and even when using your phone. Elon Musk also confirmed that onboard cameras are also being used to monitor fully autonomous driving (FSD). This camera is turned off by default, and you can choose to activate it.
